Simple pleasures like watching Ratree see falling snow for the first time in her life at Big Horn National Park in Montana stick out for me in 2009.

Ratree took her first ever art class as an adult at Cabrillo College - she got A- and everyone was happy and only Ratree was surprised.
Here is her charcoal drawing of a lotus. She plans on taking two more classes in thye spring of 2010.
