2008 leaves us with our stories to share and hopes for an even better 2009.

Son Keng, a recent St. John's University of Bangkok graduate, now works in the advertising field, seen here with sister and Mom. We don't see him as much as we used to but when he is around Ratree, Kwang and I are always glad.

My wife makes me laugh easily and often. The harder task is getting her to laugh at my jokes. She says she is still waiting for a good one.

Ratree with my talented niece Chaska, lead singer for Raining Jane - www.rainingjane.com - shortly after finishing their opening set for Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas this summer. We also saw them perform at The Fillmore in San Francisco. Check em out ... they are good.

Kwang is a happy young women. Seen here on a ride on a Thai fishing boat in the Andaman Sea to get to a remote island swimming spot. A day to remember.

Keng is 22 years old. His Mom and I are 54 - we have been married 7 years now. Time flies ... enjoy it as best you can.

Here I honor the life of R.C. "Dick" Gibson shown on my right with another friend, Big Billy from Brooklyn, at our 2007 Christmas party in Thailand. I called him "Uncle Dick" as he reminded me of my dear departed Uncle Al. Dick had many interests but mostly he was curious about the interests of the people he met and the many friends he made along the way. Dick passed peacefully at age 76 not long after his annual 4th of July 2008 barbecue which he held at his summer home in Maine. We went to the tennis tournaments every winter in Thailand and had plans to see Bjorn Borg play Johnny McEnroe in November of 2008. He continues to be missed and reminds us all to live life to the fullest, as he did. Happy 2009 everyone.
